With his beautiful looks, exceptional movement & happy, “look at me” attitude there is no wonder this lovely pony has won so many champion & supreme championships at major shows in hand , ridden & working hunter. He is a complete gentleman who has been handled & looked after by children. In 1999 he introduced his nervous, novice jockey to the show ring, & in 2000 qualified HOYS first time out. In 2001 he qualified again for HOYS as well as wining the Kingsford Ridden final at Ponies UK summer championships.
Fanfare also won & was champion in his first M&M WHP qualifier . He has only been lightly used at stud due to his ridden commitments but his stock are winning in hand, ridden & performance, & all inherit his wonderful temperament
This stunning young stallion has the qualities one would expect from his famous old bloodlines. He has inherited his sires beautiful head, long front and extravagant movement and his dam has produced several top class jumping ponies including Garrow Owen(international JA show jumper) and Garrow Quest(HOYS WHP). He was shown very successfully as a youngster, winning bronze and silver WPCS medals and being Sup Ch at NE Counties WPCA as a 2yr old. At 3 yrs he was only lightly shown but attended Ponies(UK) Summer Champs where he was 1st, Youngstock Ch and Overall Res Ch Glyn Greenwood final, 1st and Ch Palomino and 1st and Youngstock Ch Sec B. Kestrel has sired some stunning pure & part-bred foals including Champion RP foal at Ponies UK Champs. Kestrel has been leased for 2007 to further his ridden career & we wish him & Carol every success.
** Qual HOYS 2007**
After several years searching for a coloured stallion to cover top class sec B mares(my main criterion being if it wasn’t coloured would it be good enough!) I finally found this lovely boy standing at Lostock Stud. He is not only well bred on both sides of his pedigree but has a fantastic temperament and had sired the CHAPS futurity foal champion”Lostock Riff Raff” from his 1st crop of foals. Unfortunately(or fortunately as it turned out) after deciding he was “the one” for my mares I then found out he was for sale. After such an extensive search for a suitable stallion I did not want this one to get away and was lucky enough to bring him back toN.Yorkshire to hopefully start a new chapter for the Milford Stud. He will cover Sec B mares plus a small hack and small riding horse for us and will be available to a limited number of visiting mares in 2007
